With proximity to Phu Quoc Kiss Bridge and Sunset Town, Sun World Hon Thom Nature Park is a must-visit when you’re setting out to the south of Phu Quoc.
To cut down travel time, stay at a nearby hotel so you can get around with ease. The Premier Residences Phu Quoc Emerald Bay is the top call to seek the best comfort of home. Location-wise, it’s only 10 minutes by car from the cable car departure terminal.
Ride The World’s Longest Cable Car System
Prepare to be spellbound as the cable car transports you to new heights, offering a breathtaking 360-degree panorama of the sea paradise, verdant islands, lush forests, and pristine beaches of the Sun World Hon Thom complex.
Upon arrival, immerse yourself in the natural splendor of Hon Thom, where powdery white sands meet crystalline jade-blue waters, flanked by untouched ancient forests and majestic rock formations.
Eye’s Eagle
This is one of the first attractions you’ve encountered on the way to the water park. Eye’s Eagle is not just a picture-worthy spot but also a scenic vantage point that captures an unparalleled vista of the Phu Quoc southern coast from above.
Angry Wooden Snake Roller Coaster
Before you get down and serious with any of the spine-tingling sports at the Aquatopia Water Park, buckle up with a semi-thrilling ride at the Angry Wooden Snake Roller Coaster.
Conquer the “monster” as you scream your heart out of Vietnam’s one-of-a-kind wooden roller coaster and get sweaty before plunging into the water!
Aquatopia Water Park
Aquatopia Water Park is the best deal that keeps all visitors on the edge of their seats.
Dubbed Southeast Asia’s premier aquatic destination, Aquatopia plays host to over 20 exhilarating attractions crafted by the world’s leading manufacturers. It’s split into six themed check-in zones set amidst the enchanting backdrop of this once-forgotten aboriginal island.
Here are some of my favorite zones to inspire your itinerary!
Lost Lagoon
Take it slow and easy by sliding down the “lazy river” of Lost Lagoon. Soak up the sun as you turn into a weary adventurer and unwind amidst its tranquil waters. Drift along its meandering currents on a swimming float and get ready to be cradled in the gentle embrace of the river’s flow.
With each lap taking approximately ten minutes, there’s no time limit so feel free to soak in the serenity for as long as your heart desires.
Python Plunge
Now it’s time to unleash your adrenaline level! If you’re a thrill-seeker, don’t miss out on the Python Plunge where you can enjoy an exhilarating escapade to the fullest.
Get started by climbing aboard the back of a python and conquering this heart-pounding journey through dizzying heights and lightning-fast speeds.
Queen – King Cobra
Well, the two gigantic plunges do look like two cobras jutting their heads out to the water from afar! Embrace your confidence as you’re about to tread amidst the domain of these forest monarchs.
The steep terrain makes it a lot more interesting as the pool leans its back to the lush forest, offering an awe-inspiring spectacle of nature’s power.
Paradise Bay
Yas! This is definitely my favorite area at Aquatopia. Imagine a lagoon topped up with tropical sea waves. Grab one of the floaties and rest your tired cores between the rides.
Medusa’s Trap And Poseidon’s Revenge
Oh, you’re about to spin your head big time! Medusa’s Trap is a rafting area where you navigate the treacherous waters on a four-seater raft. This is the best call for families with kids or a day out bonding with your gang. Teamwork is important though if you don’t want your raft to ride backwards.
This one looks insanely huge (and scary sometimes) from afar. It comes in a four-seater slide that’s going to push you down into an enormous yellow whirl.
Now this is where the scariest part turns up!
You all are gonna be spinning inside this giant ball before it shoots you out to a catch pool outside.
That’s how you spend a day at Sun World Hon Thom Phu Quoc! Easy peasy, ride the scenic cable car back and you’ll soon be greeted by the enchanting Sunset Town to cap off your day.
If you’re wondering what else to do for the rest of the day, linger around the promenade to catch the sunset. Stroll through its winding streets, reminiscent of European mountain towns, and let the stunning sunset transport you straight to the Mediterranean.
Sun World Hon Thom Phu Quoc is worth every penny, especially the water park. That being said, it’s not just about the rides but also the mashup of beautifully manicured gardens, quaint farms, and some delicious food.
