During her time in Tokyo, Piao Er had to come to Shinjuku Station every day. She spent two weeks here, and the mission of finding a delicious breakfast at Shinjuku Station was particularly important. As a result, Piao Er can say that she has visited many breakfast restaurants at the South Exit of Shinjuku Station.

After trying out more than ten breakfast places in Shinjuku, Piaor’s current favorites are “Oyster Bar refreshing food porridge”, “Dashichazuke”, and the one we are introducing today, “Bakery & Restaurant Sawamura Shinjuku”. These places all serve relatively light and healthy breakfast options. Piaor has taken Piaoma to try them one by one, and Piaoma loved them so much that she wanted to eat them again at noon. This proves that even the elderly who pay attention to breakfast quality and prefer lighter meals can accept them.

Sawamura Shinjuku Dining Environment

All the restaurants in the Shinjuku NEWoMan food court have a modern and trendy bar style, similar to many hipster restaurants in Singapore. Most of the seats are bar seats, in addition to regular chairs, because at night it transforms into a chatting bar for Japanese office workers after work, and in the morning it is a great place for mature women to replenish their morning nutrition.

Why is Zamura’s bread so delicious?

Bakery & Restaurant Sawamura is actually a bakery from Karuizawa, Japan. After European bread culture was introduced to Japan, the Japanese adjusted the flavors and developed their own style of bread, which Sawamura specializes in selling.

Inside Bakery & Restaurant Sawamura, opposite the seating area, is the bakery shop that sells Sawamura’s selected bread. They use over 20 types of flour from Japan and abroad, and add their own cultivated yeast to make over 30 types of bread. Flora often eats their bread at the Sawamura Karuizawa main store. This time, she came to Bakery & Restaurant Sawamura to experience their dine-in menu, which is only available in Shinjuku.

Zemura Shinjuku Delicious Meals

Piao Er originally came to dine after 10 o’clock, but because of the queue, the menu was changed to the lunch menu after queuing… so I had to order lunch. If you come for breakfast, you can have Western-style breakfast and brunch such as bread, croissants, thick-sliced toast, scrambled eggs, soup, salad, coffee, etc. Among them, French toast and croissants are recommended by Piao Er.

The Chinese restaurant now sells Western-style dishes such as hamburgers, pizzas, and spaghetti during lunchtime, and even serves steak for dinner.

After ordering, Zecun freshly baked bread will be served. I usually don’t like bread, but their bread is really delicious, so delicious, so happy!

Next is the salad that goes with the meal. The greens are carefully selected and are juicy and crispy to eat. The dressing is also refreshing.

The pizza is quite Japanese-style, probably because the restaurant uses carefully selected flour, so the crust tastes different. However, the toppings on it are similar to regular pizza, but you can feel that the ingredients are upgraded.

Fried cutlet is the most impressive dish for me among all the dishes, after all, Japanese fried food is really crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, plus the ingredients and sauces inside are carefully selected, delicious!

As for the french fries, I rarely find crispy and delicious ones in Japan, so I ordered them to give it a try. They are not as crispy and delicious as those in Taiwan, but they are still pretty good compared to what I have had in Japan.

This time, I dined at Sawamura Shinjuku and could feel the dedication of the skilled craftsmen towards the ingredients and sauces. The taste is truly unique and I highly recommend it to those who appreciate delicate flavor changes.
