When I’m strolling around Tokyo, my stomach often starts growling for something comforting and hearty. That’s when the magical thought of slurping up a delicious bowl of ramen pops into my head! But on this particular day, I was craving something extra special, something that would take my taste buds on a wild ride. And that’s when I remembered hearing about this legendary spot all the way from Asahikawa City in Hokkaido – SANTOUKA Ramen.
With an adventurous spirit and an empty stomach, I made my way over to SANTOUKA and ordered up their famous ramen made with rich and savory pork bone broth. Let me tell you, it was love at first slurp! The broth was so flavorful and satisfying, with just the right amount of depth and richness. And the noodles were perfectly cooked, with a satisfying chew that made every bite feel like a warm hug.
If you’re ever in Tokyo and looking for a cozy and comforting meal, do yourself a favor and head over to SANTOUKA Ramen. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you!

SANTOUKA Menu
The signature dish of Shandong Fire Noodles is a soup cooked with pork bones, dried fish, and vegetables. Different ingredients such as salt, original flavor, soy sauce, miso, and spicy miso are added according to different tastes. The menu selection consists of these five flavors, and then divided into large, medium and small bowls, with or without meat slices, etc. The roasted pork cheek is also a must-try recommendation. Those interested can give it a try.
Each store will have limited dishes, everyone can go to the official website to check the menu.
Salty Ramen
Japanese ramen is still too oily and salty for Taiwanese people, so Piao ordered a lighter “salt ramen”. When it was served, you could see a golden white soup with a small plum as decoration. The founder’s idea was to make ramen that could be eaten every day without getting tired of it. The soup was indeed full of flavor, but it was still too oily and salty for me.
Ramen is made with green onion, bean thread, and fish board, and sprinkled with sesame for flavor. Many people recommend the char siu, which is made with a small amount of pork cheek meat, giving it a tender texture. The downside of this deliciousness is that it is very fatty! The ramen noodles are thin, and the texture is softer than the Japanese ramen. The portion is slightly smaller than the average Japanese ramen shop, which is just right for small stomachs. For those with larger appetites, it is recommended to order a large bowl.
Is the Ramen at the SANTOUKA Delicious?
Floating is just having a simple dinner, feeling greasy and not having any special memories, but not bad. But if you are specially coming to Japan for food, you don’t have to go to this store!
